14 Cringe-Worthy Movie Scenes You Never Want To See Again

8. The Zipper - There's Something About Mary

There S Something About Mary Ben Stiller
Fox

Men the world over instinctively cross their legs whenever they witness poor Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller) catch his junk in his zipper at the beginning of this iconic late-90s comedy.

The undeniable audience empathy combined with the Farrelly Brothers using words rather than visuals to convey the horror of Ted's predicament makes it an absolute squirmer...and just when you think it's going to calm down, we're then treated to a horrifying close-up glimpse of Ted's "frank and beans" stapled into his trousers.

If you've got a penis you're pretty much guaranteed to have an intensely visceral reaction to this scene, wincing, feeling a little sick and maybe even turning away from the screen. A comedy, you say?
