3. The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist

When The Conjuring came out, horror fans lost their minds. It was one of the best horror movies to be released all decade, but there were skeptics. Lorraine Warren does a lot of work on paranormal investigative reality shows and, while they€™re fun to watch, there€™s an obvious display of camera trickery and false experiences. However, getting to experience a story in her life without commercials, without pandering to inexperienced séance gatherers, was actually kind of interesting. Terrifying, yes, but also interesting. And whether you believe in ghosts or not, this movie probably scared the crap out of you. So, why not make another one? These are the kinds of movies that can just keep on getting made because they€™re based on one person€™s experiences, which is a simply compelling source. While the stories may be different and the characters may change, the Warrens will remain present in all of the sequels to come because these stories are their stories and they have plenty of them. Expect scariness, as this story has already been adapted for British TV and it was a legitimate
