14. Ridley Scott Is A Back-Up Option For The Batman

As well as looking at Planet Of The Apes franchise saviour Matt Reeves, Warner Bros also had Ridley Scott on their wishlist, along with Don't Breathe helmer Fede Alvarez. This is according to THR, who confirmed Reeves as the director.

Imagine for one minute that Ridley Scott made a Batman movie. Right, clearly that's reason enough to want something terrible to happen with Reeves' plans (obviously nothing that ruins his career, as he's also great, but come on, it's Ridley bloody Scott).

The rumour seems to have some credence, given it's source, and it's entirely baffling that he would be the back-up to anyone for any job, frankly. Maybe that's just bitterness talking (seriously, Matt, really, really well done).
