The Prediction: Ethan Hunt's wife Julia (Michelle Monaghan) is killed off in the movie's first act, making Hunt's quest for revenge his most personal mission yet.

After all, it was pretty surprising to hear Monaghan coming back at all considering she's basically been absent since the third movie (bar a tiny cameo in Ghost Protocol), and generally when a long-gone character is brought back into the fold in a hit franchise, it's so they can get greased and give the hero some easy emotional motivation.

Why It Might Not Happen: Perhaps Monaghan is really back just to show how Hunt is once again re-adjusting to civilian life, or Hell, maybe she ends up joining the team (which frankly sounds like a terrible idea). Either way, there are certainly other explanations, even if her murder seems most likely.
