14 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About The DC Extended Universe

9. CGI Overkill Will Always Be A Problem

One issue that's been consistent across the DCEU so far is the over-abundance of garish visual effects.

Man of Steel's final battle featured a ton of blurry fighting, BvS' Doomsday looked insanely generic, Suicide Squad's Enchantress finale was laughable, and even Wonder Woman devolved into excessive digital shenanigans in act three.

It's clear from Justice League's trailers that it's also going to be overly awash in inconsistent visual effects, to the point that nothing really has any weight to it because the heroes are mostly fighting artificial creations against a green screen. That's without even mentioning Cyborg, who is a predominantly CG creation.

At least the MCU's films feel a little more rooted in the physical, but it seems unlikely that Warner Bros. will change their approach now, especially with Wonder Woman being so successful even with its uninspired CGI-fest of a final battle.
