1. The Terrible Ending
As the film draws to a close, Rey visits Luke's old home on Tatooine with BB-8. There, she's spotted by a woman who says that no one has visited there in decades, and she asks Rey who she is.
Rey sees Luke and Leia's force ghosts in the distance, who give her a knowing look, and Rey happily answers the woman with "Rey Skywalker."
Nope, you're not going insane. No one drugged you, that actually happened. This is how the Skywalker saga ends.
This is stupid. It's pandering. It's insulting. There is no logical reason for Rey to take on the Skywalker name.
What made Rey an interesting character was that she was no one. She could have built her own reputation without being related to the Skywalkers. But of course, they just had to connect her to them somehow by making her Palpatine's granddaughter, and now by having her carry on the Skywalker name.
This is just terrible fan service, and a truly terrible end to a terrible movie.
So this is how the Skywalker saga dies...
