And finally, after protagonist Tree (Jessica Rothe) escapes the time loop at the end of the film, she hangs out with her new love interest Carter (Israel Broussard), who mentions that her situation was a lot like the classic movie Groundhog Day.

Tree, however, claims she's never seen it nor even heard of it, or Bill Murray for that matter, so it's pretty safe to say that one of Tree and Carter's first activities as a couple would most certainly be to watch the damn movie.

Nothing big here, just a young woman watching a classic movie, but considering how infuriating it is that Tree's not even heard of one of the best comedies ever made, it's important that she goes on to watch it. Carter, clearly a huge fan of the film, surely won't let her miss it.
