14 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Asked For

4. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales
Screen Gems

Release Date: January 27, 2017

It's staggering to consider that the modestly-budgeted 2002 Resident Evil gave birth to a mammoth movie franchise, with the five films to date having generated over $900 million at the box office.

Even more impressive is that these movies somehow have even less internal logic and consistency than the video game source material, and so, does anyone really care if the series gets a concrete resolution or not?

These movies are total nonsense and pretty much only good for Milla Jovovich's physical performance and the hilariously over-the-top action. Nobody's going for the plot or characters, so aren't five films enough?

Could It Be Any Good?: Highly doubtful considering the only decent one was the first. Outside of the set-pieces it'll almost certainly be an incomprehensible trainwreck.
