Even though the vocal fan response was that Terminator Genisys was a steaming pile of garbage, star Emilia Clarke has exited the franchise and Paramount recently removed a sixth movie from their schedule, there is zero doubt that another Terminator movie will happen sooner or later.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently confirmed that the sequel will happen...despite most fans seeming to express the sentiment that the series has been molested enough, and is probably better left alone.

After all, the first two were classics and it could've stopped there. The third was decent if a major step down, the fourth was surprisingly mediocre, and Genisys was a flaming dumpster fire. Who honestly wants the possibility of yet another skidmark on the franchise's souring legacy?

Could It Be Any Good?: Never say never. With a radical enough approach perhaps, but the time travel logic has become so laughably convoluted by this point that it would surprise roughly nobody if it just got the quasi-reboot treatment instead.

Arnie will always be a welcome attraction, but everything around him? Who knows?
