Why It's Doomed: Firstly, Toy Story 3 gave the series such a note-perfect, emotional conclusion that the mere prospect of Toy Story 4's existence is disappointing enough.

This is clearly a film motivated by money rather than creativity, and the fact that original writers Rashida Jones and Will McCormack left the project due to "creative and, more importantly, philosophical differences", all while a sexual harassment scandal swirled around original director John Lasseter, makes it hard to believe this is a project with a firm base.

Woody and Buzz's story is over, but the fact that the film will feature them as protagonists once again seems to undermine that. A reboot would make much more sense, focusing on a new band of toys, but when Disney and Pixar can milk these existing characters for another easy billion dollar payday, why would they bother?
