15 Actors You Didn't Know Were Almost Cast In Tarantino Movies

7. Lady Gaga - Lara Lee Candie-Fitzwilly (Django Unchained)

The Role: Laura Cayouette€Ž ultimately played the part of Calvin Candie's widowed sister, who is memorably blown to hell at the end of the movie in amusingly cartoonish fashion. What Happened?: Nothing public was ever said about why Cayouette landed the part in the end, though it's rather likely that scheduling got in the way, given how chummy QT and Gaga sound. After all, shortly following Django's release, the director said of Gaga, "I definitely want to work with her. We meet up about two times a year and it's always fun. She's a really fascinating woman." Would It Have Worked?: Probably, believe it or not. Gaga had brief but memorable roles in both Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and she didn't stick out nearly as much as you might expect, so if she could have put her larger-than-life personality to the background for Django, it would have been fine. Plus, getting to see her shot across the screen would've made the scene even more hilarious.
