15 Awesome Batman Characters We Still Haven’t Seen On Film

1. Jean-Paul Valley a.k.a Azrael (a.k.a Batman)

Jean-Paul Valley is perhaps best remembered as the guy who took over as Batman after Bane broke Bruce Wayne€™s back in the famous Broken Bat arc. However, before and after that, Valley was Azrael; just one in a long line of assassins brainwashed and conditioned by the Sacred Order of Saint Dumas to act as their enforcer at which time they should choose to activate his €˜kill switch€™. Charged to kill a weapons dealer in Gotham, Azrael of course crosses paths with Bats, who helps him to defy his birthright and forge his own path. I actually imagined that Joseph Gordon Levitt might have been cast as John Paul Valley initially and was convinced Nolan was intending on a Battle for the Cowl style Batman vs. Batman in the climax of TDKR. It could have totally worked if you ask me, but Nolan took a different path. Inserting Valley into the Batman movie continuity would be difficult sure - there€™s enough there to dedicate an entire film to the character €“ but it wouldn€™t be impossible. If a new director intends to pick up where Nolan left off, couldn€™t John Blake still technically work as a movie version of Jean-Paul Valley? Imagine if you will a Batman movie in which John Blake has taken over from Bruce Wayne. During said movie, Blake starts to suffer flashbacks, experience memories he shouldn€™t have; soon after, he starts becoming brutal, even resorting to murder. At which point, Bruce Wayne of course returns to put a stop to the madness and reclaim his mantle. I€™ve said it before, I€™ll say it again. The only thing I want to see on film more than Batman vs. Superman (still hoping the Justice League movie provides this), is Batman vs. Batman. The above is one way it could be done. So, anyone we left out? Anyone here that you absolutely DO NOT want to see on screen? Let us know won't you?
