14. Judge Dredd
Judge Dredd has been played twice on the big screen - first by Sylvester Stallone in 1995's Judge Dredd, then by Karl Urban in 2012's Dredd - and both times he's been pretty kick-ass. The Stallone movie was a much looser interpretation of the comic books than the Urban movie - the latter of which had a much better plot, was much more high octane and gritty and had more viewers on the edge of their seats. That said, each interpretation was ruthless and took on foes who were essentially comic book-esq supervillains, such as Mean Machine Angel in the case of Stallone's Dredd and Ma-Ma in the case of Urban's. Both Dredd's were armed to the teeth with weapons - and Urban's was well protected with much heftier armour than Stallone's - but they were both essentially ordinary humans in peak physical condition who fought to bring criminals to justice.
