15. Kick-Ass
Kick-Ass will be the only character from his titular movies to get a place on this list - and that's because I'm unsure if he belongs on it. He operates in a much more "real world" setting, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that he is incredibly talented as a vigilante. He is Dave Lizewski - an ordinary New York City high school student and the child of a loving single father after his mother suddenly died from an aneurysm. Having a keen interest in comic books and superheroes, Dave wonders why no one wants to be a real life superhero, so he takes his interest in comic books as inspiration and becomes one. He purchases a costume from eBay, wields two batons and calls himself "Kick-Ass". However, in his first attempt at crime-fighting, he tries to stop two thugs from stealing a car, but is stabbed and subsequently ran over. He is taken to a hospital and undergoes intense physical rehabilitation. Metal plates are placed all over his body and his nerve endings now delay reactions to injuries, making him almost immune to physical pain. Ultimately, he trains hard, becomes something of a celebrity, is feared by criminals, gets the girl he's always wanted and saves the day. Not bad for a high-school kid.
