15 Awesome Movies To Watch This Summer (Which Aren't Blockbusters)
11. Paper Towns
Release Date: July 24 (US), August 21 (UK) The Plot: Based on John Green's young-adult novel, Paper Towns takes place in Florida and follows Quentin "Q" Jacobsen (Nat Wolff) as he reconnects with childhood friend Margo Roth Spiegelman (Cara Delevingne). The next day, however, Margo is missing, and as Q investigates, he comes to realise that he actually knows very little about his friend. Why It's Going To Be Awesome: The novel won the 2009 Edgar Award for best young-adult novel and sounds like a refreshing change of pace from the glut of maudlin Nicholas Sparks adaptations teens are usually inundated with. Rather, this sounds like a young-adult take on Gone Girl, and with Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank) directing while Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (500 Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, The Fault in Our Stars) write the script, it has a ton of potential. Above all else, it should be a fresh and unique teen romance.
