15 Best Anime Tie-In Movies Of All Time
10. My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
Every hit shounen series needs a roster of movies to accompany their long-running franchises, and My Hero Academia is working hard on getting its numbers up. Thus far, it has three films to brag about, and while they are all fun romps, the middle flick, like All Might, is easily the strongest.
In this film, Deku and the rest of class 1-A are sent to the remote island of Nabu as part of their summer training. Here they patrol the areas, help citizens and peacefully put their quirks to good use in this relaxed environment. But, soon, a terrifying villain named Nine appears, and it's up to the heroes to save the island from destruction.
Most anime feature an ever-beloved beach episode, and My Hero seemed to run with that, as this entire movie fits that trope. The flick is an utter delight as every cast member gets some screen time, and it takes every chance to have fun amidst the threat/action.
However, the biggest highlight of the movie is the epic climax, which sees Deku and his rival Bakugo deliver an awe-inspiring final assault against Nine. It's beautifully animated, accompanied by the iconic song "Might*U", and is filled with emotion alongside the kick-ass action.
