The Blackcoat's Daughter (also known as February in territories like the UK), was finally given a release on VOD and Netflix earlier this year, and was swiftly picked up by critics and audiences as being one of the best horror films of 2017.

Led by Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka, the atmospheric psychological horror film indulges in a slow build as it subtly lets the audience put together the pieces of its plot, charting the experiences of two girls who are haunted by an evil they thought they'd left behind at their boarding school.

Delving into the fractured psyche of the two leads as they attempt to come to terms with their past, the final reveal manages to be both predictable yet surprising at the same time, and caps off this twisted psychological tale while virtually demanding a second watch straight away.
