6. Avengers: Infinity War

The first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, dropped back at the end of November, was viewed a mind-melting 237 million times in its first 24 hours, a record for online trailers that's probably not going to be topped until the trailer for Avengers 4 lands.

As for the trailer itself? It was superbly effective in selling just how far the MCU has come, and quite how much of an event this movie is going to be. Most of the heroes are boasting neat new looks, we get brief glimpses of far-flung heroes being brought together, the tease of superhero death, and of course, the arrival of Thanos (Josh Brolin).

No matter how cynical you might be about the superhero movie conveyor belt right now, it was hard to not be even a little hype for what's to come. Money is going to be printed.
