10. Helen Cho
Helen Cho is a geneticist that made her debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron. To date, that remains her only appearance in the MCU, but her work has still made an impact.
Cho opens the movie working with the Avengers while they wipe out what is left of HYDRA. When Clint Barton is injured in battle, she uses her equipment and know how to create new organic tissue for the marksmen. Of all the scientific breakthroughs we have seen in the MCU, this would be among the most applicable for our real world.
That isn't to say her work wasn't taken to the comic book level of extreme. After being mind controlled and with the help of a Ultron, an Infinity Stone and some stolen vibranium, she was able to create an android body from scratch. That body would later become Vision.
Vision's creation turned the tide in the Avengers' fight with Ultron and helped save the planet. Currently Vision isn't doing particularly well, but his creation has already helped save the world from annihilation once. We have Helen Cho's work to thank for that.
