5. Chris Pratt: Marvel's New Leading Man

Chris Pratt's casting was met with a bit of a divisive reaction from fans originally, probably because the character he's famous for playing on Parks and Recreation is nothing like your typical Hollywood action hero. Remember those "Pratt's Too Fat" campaigns that sprung up after he landed the gig? Well, clearly no one knows how effective Hollywood trainers can be at changing normal guys into Marvel super heroes. Pratt not only looks the part of Star-Lord, but he plays it well, too. His trademark humor and wit is definitely still front and centre, but he can command a room and really holds his own against the more outlandish elements around him. It can't be easy for someone to play a hero when you're next to a raccoon and a green-skinned Zoe Saldana, but Pratt does it well and he's squarely landed himself in the ranks of best superhero leading men. Of course, this is just a glimpse at his full performance and our opinions could change, but from the looks of it Pratt is a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we can't wait to see him share the screen with the Avengers someday.
