15 Biggest Box-Office Movie Bombs Of The Decade

9. How Do You Know (2010)

If you're wondering why cheesy romantic comedies with huge stars pretty much don't exist anymore, it's partly because of How Do You Know.

I don't even really need to tell you the plot: it's about a bunch of good looking, well-off white people struggling through relationships with "hilarious" consequences. It's harmless enough, but it was the film that Jack Nicholson made before he retired, and while I can't say the quality was the reason why, it can't have helped.

Even in 2010, the formula felt a little antiquated, and the flick brought in just under $50 million worldwide. Because the budget was double that, and everyone involved were well-known actors, the film ended up losing $100 million and made studios wary of jumping in on these kinds of movies going forward.
