The LEGO Movie not only shattered the box office this spring, but it completely blew away our expectations for the animated film based on the beloved building toy. The folks at Warner Brothers, never ones to let a good chance go to waste, immediately greenlit two more LEGO ventures: a LEGO Movie sequel in 2017, and a spin-off focusing on the kid-friendly Ninjago line in 2016. Now, the studio has taken their LEGO plans a step further, and announced release dates for two more entries in the franchise, slated for May 25, 2018 and May 24, 2019. Technically, the films are simply "Untitled Warner Bros. animated films," but according to THR, they're LEGO-themed. Whether or not they're sequels to Ninjago and The LEGO Movie, or spin-offs focusing on other corners of the LEGO universe, remains to be seen. With a year and a half to go before Ninjago hits theaters, it could be some time before we find out for sure, so we'll just have to rely on our imaginations until then.
