The Scene: When Navy SEAL Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper) and his wife Taya (Sienna Miller) are discussing his return to duty, they pass their baby daughter to one another several times, using a creepily unrealistic fake robot baby as a prop. Why It's So WTF: HitFix's Drew McWeeny wrote a hilarious article detailing the distracting non-quality of the terrible fake baby prop used for this scene, so attention-grabbingly false that it's a challenge to focus on the rather crucial dialogue the actors are having. There are, of course, a billion reasons why babies can't always be used on movie sets, but productions with much lower budgets and less-seasoned crews than this one have pulled it off just fine. Here it's embarrassingly artificial and an unfortunate stain on an otherwise mostly rock solid character piece.
