10. Project X

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 28%

Consensus: "Unoriginal, unfunny, and all-around unattractive, Project X mines the depths of the teen movie and found-footage genres for 87 minutes of predictably mean-spirited debauchery."

The story of the crazy house party to end all crazy house parties, this is every parent's worst nightmare which explains many of the negative reviews, but every movie should be given a fair chance.

It is messy, crude and ultimately not that funny, but it's still entertaining and surprisingly well-judged. It's a movie which chooses to go all the way in terms of excess and debauchery and this makes it a very enjoyable teenage fantasy. The appalling behavior, un-PC content and unlikable main characters add to this extreme, demented vibe that sets it apart from other teen movies.

This movie is just a fantasy; it's certainly not for everyone but if you just accept it as a partying fantasy that deliberately goes as far as humanly possible, you can definitely have a good time.

As for the criticisms of the film being misogynistic, mean-spirited and glamorizing drug-use, that's another case of people over-reacting a bit. It's no worse than many other modern comedies.
