This is one of the more well-known Easter eggs, but it's worth mentioning all the same - and as we will learn later down the list, George Lucas is no stranger to in-jokes and Easter eggs in his films.

In the Well of Souls scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, as Indiana Jones beholds the Ark of the Covenant, etchings of R2D2 and C-3pO from Raiders writer George Lucas' previous mega-blockbuster franchise can clearly be seen among the Hieroglyphics adorning the pillar to the left of the Ark.

But this wouldn't be the last time Lucas would refer to his prior franchise in Indiana Jones: In the opening scene of Temple of Doom, as Indiana Jones makes his escape, we see that the name of the night club the opening sequence took place in is none other than... "Club Obi Wan."
