15 Dumbest Razzie Nominations Of All Time

6. Cliffhanger (Worst Picture, Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Screenplay)

The Razzies have had a real hard-on for Sylvester Stallone for decades, resulting in his critically acclaimed, financially successful, three-time Oscar-nominated 1993 thriller Cliffhanger inexplicably landing four Razzie nods.

Cliffhanger may not be a classic in any conventional sense, but it is an entertainingly taut suspense picture, with a deliciously villainous performance from John Lithgow (dodgy British accent forgiven) and Sly in peak form.

None of the nominations here really felt remotely justified, and considering that Stallone had already received a ridiculous 17 Razzie nods by this point in his career, it was clearly just part of a mean running joke.
