15 Dumbest Razzie Nominations Of All Time

4. U2 (Worst Original Song - Batman Forever)

The Worst Original Song category didn't fare much better, being eventually retired in 2002, but not before giving a U2 a totally baffling nomination for their twice-Grammy-nominated tune "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" from the Batman Forever soundtrack.

Before you wonder whether or not the Razzies were simply finding another excuse to pile on the divisive superhero film, bear in mind this was Batman Forever's sole Razzie nod, with none of the obvious, easy targets (namely Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, Val Kilmer, Nicole Kidman or director Joel Schumacher) earning nominations.

All things considered, it seemed like a lame attempt to throw some shade at one of the hottest bands of the 1990s.
