Other than the fact that Game Night has Hollywood stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, when compared to other comedies that came out in 2018, the movie went under the radar in terms of moviegoers being hyped about its release. However, like any thing that's really good, word of mouth about this hilarious comedy travelled extremely quickly, making it an unexpected success at the box office.

Max and Annie (played by Bateman and McAdams) are joined by Max's extremely cool older brother, Brooks - played by Friday Night Light's Kyle Chandler - for one of their weekly game night. However, things quickly take a dramatic turn for the worst as Brooks is kidnapped right before the night begins. While the group originally think this a ploy by Brooks to turn game night into something even more fun, they eventually realise that this situation is far more dangerous than they originally thought.

With help from a truly hilarious support cast, which includes Lamorne Harris, Billy Magnussen, Sharon Horgan, Kylie Bunbury and the extra creepy, Jesse Plemons, Game Night really is the surprise comedy hit of the decade and well worth a watch.
