Released in 2014, Cooties is the sort of crowd pleasing horror comedy which deserved to do far better business than the meagre showing it received upon release.
This silly zombie movie remains underrated despite starring The Office’s Rainn Wilson and Elijah Wood as a pair of teachers tasked with cutting a bloody swathe through… their now-monstrously mutated kinder garden students.
You read that right, the villains of this flick are zombie kids, a demented twist which elevates an otherwise effective zom-com into a hilarious, boundary-pushing black comedy, mining laughs both from the transgressive premise and the deeply likeable cast of believable characters.
