15 Great Movies Starring Star Trek Actors

7. Margin Call - Zachary Quinto (Spock)

The Pittsburgh-born star is perhaps best known for his small screen roles away from Star Trek, having come to prominence on Heroes and picked up an Emmy nomination for a turn in American Horror Story: Asylum - but he's had no shortage of films to his name either throughout his career, having established himself as a producer too.

It's one of his own such works that is perhaps the best of his filmography as an actor, chronicling a day on Wall Street at the start of the GFC - and though its actual legacy may be particularly tainted by the leading presence of the now-disgraced Kevin Spacey, it's still a particularly taut drama that offers a genre-tinted insight into one of the defining moments of the modern economic world, effectively at the eye of the storm.

Something of a culture vulture, Mr Steel can historically be found in three places; the local cinema, the local stadium or the local chip shop. He is an avowed fan of franchise films, amateur cricket and power-chords.
