8. Clifford Worley - True Romance

True Romance Dennis Hopper Clifford WorleyWarner Bros. PicturesThe Line: "Hey. Yeah. And, and your great-great-great-great grandmother f***ed a n***er, ho, ho, yeah, and she had a half-n***er kid... now, if that's a fact, tell me, am I lying? 'Cause you, you're part...eggplant." How He Dies: Quentin Tarantino strikes again with his superb screenplay for the Tony Scott-directed True Romance. With Clarence (Christian Slater) and Alabama (Patricia Arquette) on the run after killing drug dealer Drexl (Gary Oldman) and stealing his merchandise, mobster Don Vincenzo Coccotti (Christopher Walken) ends up confronting Clarence's father Clifford (Dennis Hopper), attempting to coax his son's whereabouts out of him. Clifford refuses, and aware that he's going to be killed anyway, goes out mocking Coccotti, claiming that he and all Sicillians are descended from "n***ers". After the eggplant punchline, both he and Coccotti burst out laughing, before Coccotti retorts, "You're a cantaloupe", kisses him, and then shoots him through the head. If you know you're about to be brutally murdered, you might as well go out ripping a huge one out of the guy doing it. So awesome.
