9. Skyfall - Adele
MGMAs a Bond film, Skyfall left a bit to be desired in terms of its story and retreading of plot elements from the previous two films, but there can be no denying the phenomenon that Adele created with the theme song. In terms of great Bond theme songs, Skyfall is an easy top-5 contender, combining the typical 007 bravado with Adele's smoky voice that adds a tremendous amount of class to the whole thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tHWU5fWeo Bond themes are often touch-and-go, an uneven collection of songs; some are great, some are just plain bad. Skyfall ranks up there with the likes of GoldenEye and License To Kill as one of the best Bond themes ever, with its signature use of horns and downtempo hints at the larger James Bond theme. It's almost like a how-to on creating a great Bond theme, and also functions well outside the movie as one of the great songs of this decade.
