15 Hilariously Awful SyFy Original Movies

Raptor Island has got to be one of the worst dinosaur movies ever made, and there are a lot of bad dinosaur movies out there.

In this one, a bunch of SEALs follow terrorists to a remote island, which happens to be full of mutated raptors. Ever notice how outside of Jurassic Park, just about every other film with dinosaurs looks absolutely terrible? The special effects are especially bad in Raptor Island, and if you complained about some of the CGI in Jurassic World, you have no idea how bad it can be.

The dialogue is ridiculously stilted, and the raptors aren't even threatening, the one thing you could reasonably expect out of a movie called Raptor Island. And no matter how much the raptors are shot at they appear to be entirely invincible, and sometimes when fired upon they actually just stand there as if the special effects department had signed off halfway through the animating process.

The island ends up being destroyed by a convenient volcano but a few of the raptors escape, setting up the perfect opportunity for a crossover with Jurassic World 2.
