15 Horror Movie Remakes Coming In 2020 (And Beyond)
9. Fantasy Island

Back in 1978, weird cult TV show Fantasy Island debuted, starring Ricardo Montalbán as the mysterious Mr Roarke who was essentially a better dressed Rumplestiltskin, offering people their fantasies at a cost. It ran for a mighty seven seasons before dropping off and was revived 14 years later by Barry Sonnenfeld, who cast Malcolm McDowell in the lead.
The revival might not have done as well, but it was a story that definitely deserves a further look, which is why Blumhouse picked up the reboot. This time, Michael Pena will play Roarke, which is fairly left-field, while Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow is directing.
An impressive cast is made up by the likes of Maggie Q, Michael Rooker and Lucy Hale (Dave Bautista was once attached too) and it's set for release on February 28th, 2020. The fact that it's being described as West World meets The Cabin In The Woods is even more exciting, too.
