15 Huge 2020 Movies That Have Snuck Under The Radar
12. Jay And Silent Bob Reboot
Kevin Smith has had a difficult couple of years when it comes to getting another film in his View Askewniverse off the ground. For a while the idea was to make Clerks 3, which struggled to find funding and then, when it did, lost its lead actor just before filming was set to begin. Smith moved onto Mallrats 2, which was envisioned as a series, and ultimately failed get everything in place to make it a reality.
These struggles apparently inspired a renewed interest in his Jay and Silent Bob characters, and the next step was putting together a script for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, a direct sequel to 2001's Strike Back. For a while, it looked like this would be doomed as well, as the penciled-in 2017 shoot date got pushed back to 2018, and again never materialised.
The movie is finally happening though, and started shooting in February. With a load of the View Askewniverse gang back to reprise their roles, Reboot should hopefully be Smith's glorious return to the films that made him such a cult success.
