Release Date: November 6 (US), January 22 (UK) The Hype: Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents, Game Change) takes a break from his broader comedy fare to tell the tale of blacklisted Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, as played by Bryan Cranston. Joining Cranston is Elle Fanning, Diane Lane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Helen Mirren, Alan Tudyk, John Goodman, Louis C.K., Stephen Root and Michael Stuhlbarg. How Well Will It Do?: The first trailer released suggests a hilarious and superbly-acted drama about a fascinating life, so it'd be a major surprise if this one didn't scoop strong acclaim across the board, especially for Cranston, who is easily the film's biggest awards prospect. Box office will likely be limited to specialist audiences because the subject matter is so niche, but the reviews and awards will be the movie's real win.
