9. Liam Neeson Vs. A Pack Of Wolves - The Grey
The Showdown: As was teased heavily in the movie's trailers, it all comes down to Ottoway (Liam Neeson) facing off against a pack of blood-thirsty wolves.
The Anti-Climax: The movie straight-up ends before the fight even takes place, as after Ottoway tapes broken glass to his hands and runs towards the alpha wolf, we cut to the credits.
On one hand, the movie's surprisingly thoughtful tone meant that it didn't really need an action-packed finale, but at the same time, it was clearly sold to audiences on the promise of getting to see Neeson punching some wolves, so the non-fight is undeniably and justifably disappointing to many.
Those who stick around for the credits will see a brief glimpse of the wounded wolf and Ottoway's head resting on the wolf's body, but both of their fates remain ambiguous. Crucially, the audience doesn't get to see a single second or solitary shot of Neeson taking on some big, bad wolves. What a shame.
