15 Most Disappointing Movies Of 2016

10. Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them

Critics sure did go easy on this one. Again, Fantastic Beasts isn't a bad film, just an extremely underwhelming one, with J.K. Rowling seemingly rolling all of her B-material into this utterly forgettable fantasy flick.

Where to begin? Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston's characters are less entertaining than Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol's cute romantic pairing, the film doesn't make much of its period setting, the visual effects are all over-the-place, the pacing is bad, the final battle is a generic CGI-infused showdown...and then Johnny Depp shows up in the most unintentionally hilarious cameo of the year.

On top of all this, there's apparently four more of these films to come, and this first film isn't exactly the most enticing appetiser.
