8. Warcraft
With Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) at the helm, many expected Warcraft to be the first truly good video game movie, but alas, it was ultimately just another crushing disappointment.
Though the hardcore crowd might appreciate the clear effort to provide as much fan-service as possible, to the casual crowd the narrative is mostly impenetrable and even incoherent at times.
The characters are meanwhile tedious and several performances (especially Ben Foster and Dominic Cooper) are Razzie-worthy in their hilariously poor judgement of tone.
Worst of all, even the visuals are all over the place. Sure, the CGI Orcs look spectacular, but the green screen work is mostly horrible, and the action quickly becomes more exhausting than entertaining.
China just about saved it at the box office, so fingers crossed that a sequel remedies these nagging issues.
