Let's all be incredibly thankful that Steven Soderbergh didn't stay retired from film-making. The man behind Magic Mike, Logan Lucky and last year's Unsane is back in 2019 with Netflix's High Flying Bird, a basketball drama starring André Holland and Zazie Beetz (a hell of a team-up). It follows Holland's sports agent who pitches his rookie client (Melvin Gregg) for a controversial business opportunity.

Soderbergh going to Netflix makes sense given his trajectory recently and his famed preference to buck the traditional studio trends. He's assembled a great supporting cast (including Zachary Quinto, Bill Duke and Kyle MacLachlan) and it's all very exciting.
