11. Shaw's Fate - Alien Covenant

When it was revealed that Noomi Rapace was returning for Alien: Covenant along with Michael Fassbender, it was widely expected that we'd find her in much the same state as the end of Prometheus. Few could have expected that she'd be relegated to an anatomy lesson.

The rediscovered David reveals that the alien ship they had commandeered at the end of the preceding film crashed on the Engineer planet (after wiping the natives out) and that Shaw was killed. But then, not so long later, it turns out that David has been playing Frankenstein, having dissected Shaw, whose mutilated corpse is discovered by Walter.

it's a striking, awful image and it definitely needs a stunned extended look.
