Magneto AKA Erik Lehnsherr has appeared in some capacity in six of the seven X-Men movies to date. The older version of the character has been played by Ian McKellen and the younger version by Michael Fassbender (while child versions have also been played by Brett Morris and Bill Milner) and he has the power to manipulate metal and magnetic fields. He has used these abilities for a number of purposes throughout the course of his appearances. Most impressively, he has done things like lift a football stadium high into the sky, lift and relocate the Golden Gate Bridge and lift a large number of cars to act as a shield against attacks, but he has also changed the trajectory of bullets, ripped iron particles from a man's blood and enabled himself to fly. He can also use metal to bind people in place and to control machinery (such as when he controlled the Sentinels). He is also immune to psychic control thanks to his helmet. He has no superhuman physical attributes whatsoever, however.
