Jean Grey is undoubtedly the most powerful character in the X-Men movies to date, given the displays of power actually shown on screen. Played by Famke Janssen (and Haley Ramm as a youngster), she has appeared on screen in five of the franchise's offerings so far. She is a psionic character whose powers are telepathy and telekinesis. She has appeared in both her "normal" form and that of her dark alter-ego, known as the Phoenix (the latter of which is so powerful and dangerous that Charles Xavier had forcibly repressed it with his own mental powers). With regards to her telepathy, she can read and detect minds, control minds and communicate with others telepathically. With regards to her telekinesis, she can simulate flight, erect telekinetic shields, fire telekinetic blasts, move objects with her mind (such as cars and buildings) and disintegrate objects - whether those objects be people or the very environment in which she is in (when she unleashed her powers on Alacatraz Island, she killed hundreds and almost destroyed the island itself).
