15 Most Unlikely Horror Movie Villains

11. A Floor Lamp – Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes

If there was ever a horror movie franchise that needed to die a death it’s the Amityville Horror. Spitting out pointless sequel after pointless sequel (most of them direct-to-video) since the early 80s, the franchise has tried and failed to inject new life into its haunted house premise by transferring the action to haunted asylums, theatres and even a dollhouse.

One of the franchise’s most ludicrous attempts at creativity came with its fourth instalment in 1989 when some bright spark came up with the idea of a demonically possessed floor lamp. Yep – a lamp and a very ugly one at that even for late 80s standards.

Besides being hideously ugly, the lamp is pretty limited in what it can do because it’s a !*$% lamp and hence boasts a measly kill count of just four, one of which is a tiny parrot and another who it kills via a tetanus infected cut which a non-demonically possessed rusty nail could do given half the chance.
