There are a LOT of things that Star Wars fans were left miffed by in The Last Jedi, from the perceived misinterpretation of Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) character, to various plot threads from The Force Awakens being discarded, to the most egregious and infamous of all: General Leia's (Carrie Fisher) bizarre Superman Force flight back to safety after almost being assassinated by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

Even many fans who loved Snoke's (Andy Serkis) sudden death and Rey's (Daisy Ridley) parentage amounting to squat were left miffed by Leia's improbable survival.

The scene was baffling for several reasons: Leia's Force abilities are not acknowledged or mentioned by any other character, the execution of the whole sequence was weirdly goofy, it was overly reminiscent of Superman surviving the nuke in Batman v Superman, and Leia dying actually would've made a lot more sense than what we got.

Whether you love or hate the film, fans can generally agree that this was a laughable, depressingly meme-worthy moment in 2017's most anticipated and talked-about film.
