9. Pinocchio
Long before this misguided remake become the internet punching bag of the moment, many had forecast a dud. There were plenty of warning signs, after all.
Pinocchio is one of the Disney films least-suited to the live-action treatment (due to the nature of its characters and story), the special effects looked wonky as hell, the trailers were very poor, and a big-budget film like this being unceremoniously dumped on Disney+ is never a good sign.
In the end, if anything this movie was worse than most predicted. Not only is this an incredibly lazy, unnecessary remake in which none of the changes to the original work at all, but in general it's a soulless, badly-told and incredibly dull fantasy flick that's quite possibly the low-point of Robert Zemeckis' career.
Does this upstage 2019's The Lion King as the worst Disney remake yet? Quite possibly.
