15 Remakes Of 1990s Movies Coming In 2019 (And Beyond)

5. The Crow

Right now, The Crow long-mooted remake is probably best considered "on ice" after star Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy both left the project back in May 2018, despite the film getting a release date not long before it.

It's been a long, twisting production road for the remake and it does seem like it's particularly difficult to get this project to the filming stage. That's partly down to Samuel Hadida holding the rights and having "creative differences" with the film-makers. Let's hope he can step away and allow someone to finally make it, because a remake has been in the works since 2008, ridiculously.

Names like Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, Channing Tatum, Ryan Gosling and James McAvoy have all been linked to the role over the years, but it's unlikely any of them will be cast when it eventually gets back on track. For now, it's still in the pipeline even with all the set-backs so maybe there's enough determination there to ensure it does get made.
