15 Stupidest Movie Moments Of 2015

Somehow, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 wasn't stupid enough...

2015 has brought us the two-hour chase movie that is Mad Max: Fury Road, the jaw-dropping emotion of Inside Out, and the heart-pumping thrills of films like Creed and The Martian, but sadly it can't all be that great. These 15 movies may not all be among the worst of the year (though a good number of them certainly are), but they served up the most brainless scenes of the year for sure, be they vaguely self-aware or not at all conscious of just how terrible they are. From laughably bad casting decisions to sacrilegious treatments of classic characters and so much more, these are the scenes that everyone's been unable to forget, either for better or for worse. There's the right kind of stupid, and then there's the Fantastic Four kind of stupid. In a year where Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 apparently wasn't quite idiotic enough to earn a spot on the list, here are the 15 stupidest movie moments from 2015...

15. Katniss' Asian Baby - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

The Moment: Years after President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is vanquished, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) have stayed together and now have two children. Peeta plays with the older one while Katniss reflects on the Games and cradles the baby, who just so happens to look rather, well, Asian. Why It's Stupid: Because why would Katniss and Peeta have an Asian baby unless Katniss had been getting a little action on the side? Some have noted that the baby actor is in fact Lawrence's real-life nephew and simply has the same "hooded eyelids" that Lawrence does, which can evoke an "Asian look" in small children. Even so, it's distracting and unintentionally hilarious, raising more than a few questions rather than allowing viewers to just focus on the moment.
