The Moment: Legendary video game character Q*Bert is given to the movie's heroes as a trophy for defeating one phase of the alien antagonists, and when Ludlow (Josh Gad) laments that his beloved video game character Lady Lisa (Ashley Benson) is taken by the aliens, Q*Bert transforms himself into Lisa. The movie ends with a flash to one year later, where Ludlow and Lisa are married, and also have a rabble of Q*Bert children. Why It's Stupid: Because as if having Q*Bert p*ss himself and talk in an annoying voice wasn't sacrilegious enough to the beloved character, what better way to turn video game fans off your product than have him get turned into a sexy woman and fall in love with a human? Even ignoring the obvious issues with Lady Lisa being a "trophy" for Ludlow, it's the exact sort of thing this movie shouldn't have been, spitting on the legacy of the character rather than exalting him for a new generation.
