13. The Bad Boys Police Line-Up - Terminator Genisys
The Moment: After Pops (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Sarah (Emilia Clarke) and Kyle (Jai Courtney) are arrested following a battle with John Connor (Jason Clarke) on the Golden Gate Bridge, we cut to a police line-up sequence, set to the iconic "Bad Boys" theme from the TV show Cops. Why It's Stupid: From a tonal perspective, this is just...wrong. Yes, the third Terminator movie also struggled to convincingly integrate comic relief into the action, but we'd much rather have the Elton John glasses or "Talk to duh hand" than this garbage. Using the Cops theme is an extremely low-effort gag you'd expect to see in something like a Scary Movie sequel, not a franchise as legendary as Terminator, and getting Arnie to pull off that cringe-worthy smile doesn't help the case at all. Painful.
